Are you pregnant or navigating life as a new parent? Looking for a safe, supportive, and empowering way to move your body while connecting with others? Run Move Connect and Community Bank Huon Valley invites you to be part of the Movement Through Parenthood and Family Connect Circle - a FREE supervised exercise program designed to support families across the Huon Valley.

About the Program
Movement Through Parenthood is a supportive, inclusive exercise program designed for parents at any stage—from pregnancy through to postpartum and beyond. It combines an initial Exercise Physiology consultation with structured, small-group exercise sessions in a safe and welcoming environment where your child is always welcome.
 The program offers up to four 8-week blocks of guided exercise, including a comprehensive Telehealth consultation with Exercise Physiologist Hannah Lovell, and group-based classes with a practical, physical focus. Each session is tailored to your individual needs, helping you build functional strength, improve movement, and feel confident in your body throughout your parenthood journey.

Location & Space
Sessions are held in the RMC studio (upstairs at the Huon Valley PCYC), providing a warm, inclusive, and family-friendly space. The environment is designed to support parents—allowing you to move comfortably while your baby or child is alongside you.

Schedule
Term 1 of the 2026 program will start in early May with classes on Wednesdays from 10am–11am. The program is delivered across multiple 8-week blocks, giving you the opportunity to build consistency, progress your strength, and stay supported over time.

Why Join

This program is about more than exercise - it’s about helping you feel strong, capable, and connected. You’ll build strength, confidence, and knowledge by developing pelvic awareness, learning safe lifting techniques for everyday parenting, and improving muscular endurance for long-term health. Regular movement can also boost energy, mental health, and overall wellbeing while reducing injury risk. Designed to be practical for parents, you’ll learn how to exercise safely with your child present, receive simple home programs, and build confidence to move independently. The program also aims to build connection and a community, helping reduce isolation while building a sense of belonging and a stronger relationship with your body. Every fortnight includes a Story Time session with local kindergarten teacher Tania Steenholdt, featuring storytelling, singing, and simple ways to support your child’s development through play. Ideal for pregnant and postnatal individuals and families in the Huon Valley seeking accessible, supportive care.

Getting Started
The program is fully funded and free for all participants across all blocks. It begins with an initial Exercise Physiology consultation with Hannah Lovell, including a health assessment, goal setting, and personalised guidance to support your journey. There are no lock-in contracts, and you’re free to join or step away at any stage. To get started, simply complete the registration form below to secure your place.
