Join us for Social Saturday to walk or run and connect for a big reason!
As with previous years in the lead up to Mothers Day, Reba Sear have pay it forward coffees available for anyone who is without their Mum this week. It’s a time that can be really tough for a lot of people in our community and this small gesture of a gifted coffee is one way to make it a little less painful.
With the atrocious rates of gender based violence in our country, Reba Sear will be donating the value of all unclaimed coffees to Huon Domestic Violence Services. HDVS supports on average 80 people a month with domestic violence related issues in the Huon Valley alone! The Huon Domestic Violence Service (HDVS) is a free and confidential service to anyone experiencing domestic violence within the Huon Valley, providing support, referrals, advocacy, safety planning, counselling and community programs.
This weeks Social Saturday is aimed to be a major fundraiser for this fantastic not for profit organisation. All coffee profits from this Saturday morning will be donated to the HDVS along with a donation bucket available for anyone with spare change. RMC will be selling beanies on the morning with $5 from every sale also donated to the HDVS.
All funds raised will be going directly to those who are currently being effected or impacted by domestic violence in the Huon Valley in the form of supportive vouchers. Whether it be a food voucher for the supermarket, fuel, home appliances or what ever a family would require in time of need.
We know how supportive this community is and understand not everyone will be able to attend this Saturday. If you would like to make a contribution to this fundraiser a donation bucket will be available at Reba Sear and the RMC studio next week.
We can't wait to see you all tomorrow morning to raise awareness and support those that need it most in our community.
