Hello to all of our RMC'ers!
Spring has sprung and can't we feel it in the air!
Happy fathers day to our incredible male figures in our community. We hope you have had a lovely day and enjoyed keeping dry on this wet weekend. We know the integral part you play in the lives of our community and help to provide a supportive and encouraging space for those big and little people you inspire.
Thank you to our Members
We just want to thank you all for your lovely support and understanding as we have been transitioning with new instructors and providing an inviting space for these amazing people to learn and grow in their field. We are so fortunate to have an incredible group of instructors that are here to support our community, provide a caring and inclusive space and the want to learn and develop. We look forward to you all meeting them.
We want to take this opportunity to welcome Alex, Adie, Emma and Bill to the RMC family. See our facebook and instagram in the coming weeks for a little "Get to Know the Instructors" segment.

Over this week and next, you will see Adie and Sharon work with Paige and Hannah to enhance their knowledge through guided Pilates classes. Tuesday 4:30pm and Thursday 9:00/10:00am will be used as opportunities for our trainers to facilitate foundational movement in Pilates. We loved this experience last week and thank you Thursday morning crew for being delightful students (your form was toooo good).

Strength Session Details for upcoming fortnight.

Week starting: 08.09.2025
Strength Class Focus: Freestyle
We have popped some fun little exercises in for the week and happy to take further requests. Enjoy moving your body in different ways and exploring all equipment.

Week starting: 15.09.2025
Strength Class Focus: Locomotion
We understand that to prevent injury from walking, hiking or running, we need to train those muscles, ligament, tendons and joints in the gym. This week is all about mimicking those locomotive movements to try and create seamless balance and to enhance our ability to react and restabilise ourselves to produce power and functional movements. Embrace these imperfections of poor control and work to develop stratgies for improvement.
The members should develop strategies to maintain this control- (bottom back, body over- ankle knee and hip alignment, weight evenly distributed in feet, pelvic tuck but to maintain good posture).

Understanding the Foundations of Pilates:
This fortnight in the studio is all about understanding the foundations of pilates, in line with professionally developing our fantastic instructors in the field. We believe it is a great time to learn the concepts and how particular body/limb positions activate muscles but enhance body awareness.
The foundations of Pilates focus on how we connect mind and body to move with control, balance, and efficiency. This means learning to activate your core, control your breath, maintain good posture, and move from a strong centre. By practicing these fundamentals, you build strength and stability that support every exercise, while also improving how your body feels and functions day-to-day. A strong foundation allows you to progress safely, prevent injury, and get the most out of your Pilates practice.
Social Saturday
Thinking about attending Social Saturday?

Our Social Saturday morning are for walkers, runners, furry friends and whoever wants to kick start their weekend with movement, coffee and great company.
We begin our loop from Reba Sear at 8am every Saturday. Choose a 5km loop or simply have a nice trot around Huonville. Return back to Reba Sear for a hot drink, something to eat or head off to start your weekend.

Bruny Island Ultra Relay Info:
One of our favourite running events in Tasmania might feel a while away, but it’s time to start planning!
The Bruny Island Ultra is a unique and scenic relay-style event, where teams complete the length of Bruny Island from North to South. The course is broken into 2km legs, allowing runners to tag in and out throughout the journey.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1 – Build your team! Teams can be made up of 2 to 10 runners. (Note: If you're aiming for the top prize, teams are capped at 6 runners to qualify.)
Step 2 – Book accommodation ASAP! Whether you're staying the night before to get an early start, or hanging around after to enjoy the celebrations, book now! There is already limited accommodation and the remainder will fill up fast.
Step 3 – Enter your team! Entries open September 1st, and this event sells out quickly, so mark your calendars!
