Movement Through Parenthood

A small group exercise session targeted for mothers and fathers expecting or on their parenthood journey.

Run Move Connect are very passionate about MTP and excited to provide this for our community. We live in a diverse and, for some, isolating environment and it is important that men and women feel connected, supported and guided appropriately on their parenthood journey. Everyone finds it very challenging to manage exercising safely and consistently whilst also juggling children, work and life. We want to break down the barriers, make it achievable and boost their overall mental and physical health.

Program design:

1. Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing place for families to exercise.

2. Providing guided exercise for families who are expecting a baby or on their parenthood journey.

3. Providing educational support to families on pregnancy, child health and parental care

4. Developing a child friendly environment and space for families to share, connect and feel supported in their local community.

All participants will be provided with a free Exercise Physiology consultation to discuss their health history, pregnancy journey and goals.

The program is run by Hannah and Paige with a Strength and Pilates focus. All participants will be provided with an individual exercise program based on their Exercise Physiology consult.

Pilates Session Details

We get ready to welcome a fresh week in the studio with plenty of opportunities to strengthen your mind and body.

With the new pilates classes in full swing, I invite you to join me on the mat to try something new and add some variety to your weekly movement. Particularly the PULSE Pilates class which includes low impact moderate intensity exercises has been well received amongst members.

This style of class has been designed to include low-impact, high repetition of functional pilates exercises to effectively increase your heart rate, without impacting or placing stress on your joints. Movements typically require your body weight strength, working through a more controlled sequence to maximise time under tension and promote muscular endurance. Working your body in this way reduces the risk of injury, promotes muscular recovery, improves cardiovascular health and elevates your mood. How good!

I will see your smiling mat on the face soon,

Class Cancelations/minimum class bookings

For all RMC Studio classes with 0-2 members booked into a class, RMC will notify participants 3 hours prior to the session starting if they can make another session. RMC will then decide if the class will be cancelled and removed from the booking system.

To assist with this, we ask that if you plan to do a session, please aim to book in as soon as you possibly can. We understand that sometimes it can be hard to book in too far in advance due to family, work etc.

If you can't make a session please make sure that you cancel your booking as soon as you are aware you can not attend. This is essential for all sessions. We are aware sometimes this is not possible especially for parents with young families and appreciate everyone's understanding.

Feedback Form

We get amazing feedback from our members and it continues to assist us meeting the needs of our members and providing the best service. We thought it is time to make this an 'official' form and we welcome your feedback.

Please click on the link here and fill it out, as you desire.
