Good afternoon RMCers,

Some exciting new updates with RMC this fortnight, we've created a new, affordable membership options for students and apprentices + a brand new initiative starting this week with wrist bands. Please read on below for all the info + all of our usual training segments below!

P.S - Hannah Lovell is away holidaying in QLD this week, please reach out to hello@runmoveconnect.com.au for any RMC related enquires :)

Yes Bands

No Hands :)

We are passionate about creating a space that you feel comfortable, safe and able to express your feelings without judgement or explanation.

If you wish to be kept safe by distance with no hands on support, please pop a band on where the instructor can see it. This does not mean you will be forgotten but it allows you to ahve your space respected.

There are lots of other ways to provide exercise feedback including verbally and by demonstration. We will ask you how your would like your feedback provided.

We want you to feel safe emotionally, socially and mentally but that includes safety when completing exercises.

Students/Apprentices membership now available!

We know how tough it can be juggling study, work, and everything in between, especially when you're trying to stay active and look after your health at the same time.

That’s why we’ve introduced a new membership option for full-time uni/tafe students and apprentices/trainee's. It’s the same access to unlimited classes, the same support, just at a more affordable rate.

This one’s for anyone who’s studying or learning a trade and wants to keep movement a regular part of their routine. This membership can be found on the usual "sign up" page on RMC's website.

Already a member and eligible? Shoot us an email at hello@runmoveconnect.com.au and we’ll help you transition over from your current membership.

Keen to play cricket this summer?

Week starting: 11th of August

Strength Class Focus: Bodyweight and Band Week

Probably RMCs favourite focus of the week where we challenge your body's awareness and control without using equipment. You learn the subtly of changing foot position, movement patterns and addition of props to create instability.

Be guided by your body, react to your imbalances and feel empowered to build strength.

Your body is strong and adaptable, embrace these incredible imperfections.

Week starting: 18th of August

Strength Class Focus: Stability

As we learn about our body and the areas that need strength and stability, let's add resistance to provide feedback. Develop strategies to maintain pelvic stability, shoulder postural setting and lower leg alignment. The resistance will throw you off centre but learn to recorrect this body position to avoid an imbalance.

Keep it slow, keep it controlled and learn from your body.

Pilates Session Details for upcoming fortnight.

Bruny Island Ultra Relay Info:

One of our favourite running events in Tasmania might feel a while away, but it’s time to start planning!

The Bruny Island Ultra is a unique and scenic relay-style event, where teams complete the length of Bruny Island from North to South. The course is broken into 2km legs, allowing runners to tag in and out throughout the journey.

Here’s how to get started:

Step 1 – Build your team! Teams can be made up of 2 to 10 runners. (Note: If you're aiming for the top prize, teams are capped at 6 runners to qualify.)

Step 2 – Book accommodation ASAP! Whether you're staying the night before to get an early start, or hanging around after to enjoy the celebrations, book now! There is already limited accommodation and the remainder will fill up fast.

Step 3 – Enter your team! Entries open September 1st, and this event sells out quickly, so mark your calendars!

If you’d like to know more, feel free to reach out to Coach Brad with any questions.
