Hello to all of our RMC Members,

Sorry we late on the email this week, we have had a big weekend of celebrating RMC.

A massive thankyou to everyone who came along to our Christmas party yesterday, we can't thank you all enough for helping us celebrate the years it's been with your beautiful friends and family. All of your kind words and appreciation for RMC doesn't go un noticed. We can't thank you all enough for being part of this community.

RMC still have 2 solid weeks of training to go before we wrap things up for 2023. We understand this time of year is busy but would love to see you all continue to prirortise time for yourselves through out the week.

**RMC will shut down for one week between Christmas and new years. Normal training will resume on Tuesday the 2nd of January**


Access to PCYC After Hours- STARTING THIS WEEK

For general safety purposes, the PCYC have generated an RMC code to be used for the month of December.

This code will only open the front door and is only to be used for any classes that start outside of our opening hours. (9am to 7:30pm, 5:30pm closure on a Friday).

Apparel Orders/ Christmas Vouchers

Minimum class booking/cancelation update

Since the expansion of the RMC timetable + coming into the festive season, we have seen some low class attendance (which is completely fine!). We want to give our members an update as to when we decide to remove a session due to low numbers.

For all RMC Strength, Pilates , Cardio and Recovery classes, if there is 0-2 members booked into a class, RMC will notify participants 3 hours prior to the session starting if they can make another session. RMC will then decide if the class will be cancelled and removed from the booking system.

To assist with this we ask that if you plan to do a session, please aim to book in as soon as you possibly can. We understand that sometimes it can be hard to book in too far in advance due to family, work etc. We appreciate your cooperation.

Social Saturday

What a day! Well done to everyone who ran or walked in our last 5km time trial for the 2023! So many great results and so many huge progressions over the year. Everyone should be so proud on how far they've come in such a short amount of time.

PCYC Huon Valley and RMC Join Forces

PCYC and RMC are joining forces together with support of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation to provide youth, between 14-20 years of age, a free 20 week all-access membership. This is a fantastic opportunity for youth that are finishing winter sport and looking for an activity to participate in through the summer period, an inactive adolescent who is wanting to engage within their community in a healthy and positive manner or simply a teenager who wants to exercise along side their parent or friend.

Tuesday 12th of December - Low intensity progressive intervals off short recovery

1 x 4 min / 60s recovery

2 x 3 min / 60s recovery

4 x 2 min / 60s recovery

18 min running + 6 min recovery = 24 min total

Thursday 14th of December Tempo reps + 60s efforts

3 x 5 min efforts / 2 min recovery between

3 x 60s effforts . 60s recovery

18 min effort + 8 min recovery = 26:00 total

RMC Studio Details- Strength/Cardio/Recovery/ Mat Pilates


  • Heavy load with very basic movement patterns

  • If technique is good then challenge how heavy the weight is.

  • This is a fantastic bench mark for you to see how far you have come

  • Feel empowered to challenge yourself this week.

  • Believe in yourself


  • Please take SWEAT TOWELS and drink bottles with you throughout the session.

  • Please advise the instructor if you have any new or old injuries that they should be aware of or will impact your training. We will support you with your exercise and provide alternative exercises.

  • Please be prompt to classes as we aim to start demonstration on time.


Personal Training/Exercise Physiology at RMC

Personal Training with Annie

Meet Annie, our new Personal Trainer, at Run Move Connect. Annie is ready to take clients from next week. Click here to book.

Personal training sessions are a fantastic opportunity for those who have specific fitness and health goals, are more comfortable in a one on one setting or would like benchmark physical testing with goal development.

Your personal training session will involve the following:

  • Fitness and physical assessment

  • Development of health and fitness goals

  • Designing a tailored exercise program based on fitness assessment and personal goals

  • Providing an induction in to the gym setting, if required

  • Demonstrating and guiding appropriate lifting techniques in the gym setting

  • Providing supportive and motivating environment to encourage positive lifestyle modifications.

Our personal trainers work alongside Exercise Physiologist, Hannah Squires, to provide a collaborative approach to exercise, health and overall wellbeing.




RMC Member: $85 per hour

Non RMC member: $95 per hour


RMC Member: $50 per 30 minute session

Non RMC member: $60 per 30 minute session

Exercise Physiology with Hannah

We are very excited to announce that Hannah is up and running with Exercise Physiology consultations in our RMC Studio (Pilates room).

Hannah has been an accredited Exercise Physiologist for nearly 10 years and is very excited to offer her service to our community.

An Exercise Physiologist (EP) specialise in the delivery of exercise of people with chronic health conditions, undergoing rehabilitation, pregnancy and sub-elite and elite athletes. Exercise Physiologist base their practice around prevention and management of chronic health conditions and developing rehabilitation program to improve strength, function and mobility of the body, all of which is supported by up to date, relevant and reputable researched information.

EP consultations include health history evaluation, goal setting, physical and functional assessments and exercise development and delivery.

Exercise Physiology is Medicare and Private Health rebatable.

Hannah is very passionate about her field of expertise and wants to support community in getting moving in a safe, supportive and achievable manner.

Class Cancelations

A friendly reminder for all members about class cancelations. Could all RMC members please make sure you cancel your booking for sessions as soon as you are aware you can not attend. This is essential for busy sessions and more so for the 6am sessions as it is extremely difficult for people on the waitlist to check their phones early in the morning. We are very aware sometimes this is not possible especially for parents with young families and appreciate everyone's understanding.
