Class Cancelations
A friendly reminder for all members about class cancelations. Could all RMC members please make sure you cancel your booking for sessions as soon as you are aware you can not attend. This is essential for busy sessions and more so for the 6am sessions as it is extremely difficult for people on the waitlist to check their phones early in the morning. We are very aware sometimes this is not possible especially for parents with young families and appreciate everyone's understanding.

Dover funrun recap!
Over 50 RMC members, friends and family members headed down south for one of our favourite events on Tasmania's running calendar, The Dover Funrun! It was a magic morning the proved to be one of our most successful events to date. Some impressive individual results will be posted below but I think I can speak on behalf of the members present on the morning that what stood out most about RMC was the supportive, encouraging and positive nature of our group. We love to see PB's and debuts for ourselves but we are just as excited for a team members experience as much as our own. This is what it means to be part of a team, to share the all the up's and even the downs of our journey with a great bunch of people by your side.
Some individual results that stood out from Coach Kitto and Coach Norris
Shaun Wolfe - 1st in the Men's 5km
Darcy Callaghan - 2nd in the boys Junior 5km
Metasebia Duggan - 3rd in the Women's 5km
Jenna Driessen - Debut in first ever funrun
Lex Molony - Debut in first ever funrun
Roxy Burdon - Debut in first ever funrun
Sharron Nugent - Debut in the 10km (53:40 if you don't mind)
Dylan Lovell - PB in the 5km!
We can't wait to have a huge turnout for the 2024 Dover funrun event!

Check points are at every 2km. You can ran as far or as little as you like.
We know there are lots of people interested in this event this year. If you are keen to organise your own team please go ahead. If you are wanting to participate and don't have enough people to make a team, please message Brad directly to show your interest. We will do our best to find a spot for everyone.

STRENGTH SESSIONS
Look at Pam, Nic and Rebecca- Climbing mount Fansipan, highest peak in Vietnam.
We love to see how our strength classes have supported these powerful ladies in activities they like to do outside of Run Move Connect. Recently they helped with a house build in Ta Phin, trench digging and carrying 50kg bags of cement. You inspire us all in more ways than one.
FOCUS THIS WEEK IS REVERSAL
Reversal is a fantastic way to teach you about opposing muscle groups and opposing movement patterns. Again, this is fantastic for mobility and function and reducing overload. The whole body will be challenged throughout this session however you should walk away feeling well balanced.
You will learn about pushing versus pulling, hinging verse squatting, adductor and abductors, extension versus flexion, anterior versus posterior trunk loading. Chat to your friendly instructors about this.
Moderate resistance is recommended for this loading.
GENERAL CLASS REMINDERS
Please take SWEAT TOWELS and drink bottles with you throughout the session.
Please advise the instructor if you have any new or old injuries that they should be aware of or will impact your training. We will support you with your exercise and provide alternative exercises.
Please be prompt to classes as we aim to start demonstration on time.
Feedback Form
We get amazing feedback from our members and it continues to assist us meeting the needs of our members and providing the best service. We thought it is time to make this an 'official' form and we welcome your feedback.
