Christmas and New Year Timetable at Run Move Connect

Meet Emily Amisano

RMC Pilates Instructor

Emily is a Pilates practitioner with 10+ years of experience. Her practice ranges from delivering mat classes for all bodies, to specific training and chronic and acute injury rehabilitation both in the Pilates studio setting and professional dance context.


Emily comes from a 16-year career in contemporary dance, performing across Australia and the world. She was introduced to Pilates as a teenager, and through this technique Emily was able to navigate a long career never missing a show through injury.


Complementing her Pilates training, Emily has a special interest in fascia-focused movement. Her aim is to build individual capacity and movement love through training a responsive body and curious mind. She particularly enjoys helping clients in developing their internal listening skills, and fine-tuning their response to what is heard; an inside/out approach! Class with Emily is a balanced multi- dimensional movement flow spanning challenge and comfort, plus hopefully a good laugh along the way.


Emily grew up in another picturesque river valley- the Tweed in northern NSW. She is new to the beautiful Huon, moving here with her baby girl seeking a similar community upbringing and connection. Emily is delighted to be a part of the RMC team. You can find her + bub enjoying the outdoors and acclimatizing to the fresher air of this southern isle.


Emily qualifications are: Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (Polestar); Diploma of Slings Myofascial Training/FAMO Fascia Movement (Art of Motion); Associate Degree in Dance (QUT).


You will see lots of Emily on a Tuesday and Thursday morning at 9am and 10am.

Running Session Details for the upcoming fortnight.


Tuesday 15th of December Session details:

2 sets of:

3 min effort, 90s recovery

2 min effort, 90s recovery

1 min effort, 90s recovery

Then into:

4 x 30s efforts, 30s recovery between


Volume:

14 min run + 10:30 recovery = 24:30 total volume

Thursday 17th of December Session details:

5 x 4 min efforts, 90s recovery between


Volume:

20 min run + 6 min recovery = 26 min total


Make it Harder:

Skip first recovery, making the first rep 9:30 total


Purpose:

Spending lots of time just below our anaerobic threshold.

We are going in to this fortnight with no expectations but to simply move our bodies, find time for ourselves and celebrate the year that has been. Have fun, sing your christmas carols and embrace being together!

Social Saturday

 Thinking about attending Social Saturday?

ree

Our Social Saturday morning are for walkers, runners, furry friends and whoever wants to kick start their weekend with movement, coffee and great company.

We begin our loop from Reba Sear at 8am every Saturday. Choose a 5km loop or simply have a nice trot around Huonville. Return back to Reba Sear for a hot drink, something to eat or head off to start your weekend.

An RMC Runners Facebook group has been made to help connect runners of RMC through social runs outside of organised RMC sessions, post any details in regards to upcoming events, Sunday long run loops, etc. If you or someone you might know wants to join this

Exercise Physiologist specialise in the delivery of exercise of people with chronic health conditions, undergoing rehabilitation, pregnancy and sub-elite and elite athletes.
