Hello to all of our RMC'ers!


2 weeks to go till one of our favourite events of the year, The Dover Funrun! There are limited spots available so if you intend on running, get your entries in ASAP. We look forward to seeing you all down at the Dover foreshore on Sunday the 2nd of November, whether you’re running or cheering from the sidelines, it will be a great morning!

PUBLIC HOLIDAY CLASSES


We are very excited to provide more public holiday classes. See below for times.


7:00am- Running/Walking Session at the Huonville Oval

9:00am: Enduro

5:00pm: Enduro


Enduro is a mixture of our traditional time based interval cardio sessions, combined with a core and pelvic stability component.

Our aim is to build cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance in a high intensity but low impact way, suitable for everyone!

Come and challenge your body and mind for longer, sustained efforts and of course, have a whole lot of fun!


COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS DAY


Run Move Connect will be hosting a public holiday Enduro class at 9am, prior to the commencement of the 2025 Community Connections Day on Thursday 23rd of October.  This exercise session is open to the public and we welcome your friends and family to join. We encourage members to come and join the fun and stay around for what looks to be a fantastic event.See below for information.


This is your chance to connect, discover local groups and activities, and celebrate the power of community. Everyone is welcome — so bring your children, friends, family, and neighbours along!

DOVER FUN RUN

🎉 Free Annabelle Run (kids 2km) Entries for RMC Members!

We’re excited to share a special offer for our RMC community!


From today onwards, any adult or junior entry purchased under the Run Move Connect team will receive free entries for the Annabelle Run, perfect for our little runners. 🏃‍♀️✨

You may have noticed some of the below flyers on the walls around the RMC Strength & Pilates studios. RMC is aiming to get everyone's contact/ emergency contact details up to date and accessible for our staff to view easily in case of an emergency.


Your safety and the safety of those around you is our top priority, please help us by ensuring your contact details are up to date and filled in the required fields.

Running Session Details for the upcoming fortnight.

Tuesday 21st of October Session details:

4 x 2 min efforts, 90s recovery between

2 min rest

4 x 1 min efforts, 1 min recovery between

2 min rest

4 x 30s efforts, 30s recovery between


Volume: 14 min run + 13 min recovery = 27 min total


Purpose: Aim for today is a high quality session with generous recovery time between reps/sets. This will allow us to maintain decent paces and continue to increase effort/pace as we go.

Thursday 23rd of October Session details:

4 x 5 min efforts, 2 min recovery between

(All 5 min efforts will have a random 30-45s "pick up" or "recovery period" thrown in)


*The coach will blow the whistle at an unknown moment (around halfway through the rep) where runners will choose to either surge faster or use it as an opportunity to recover for those that need it.**


Volume: 20 min run + 6 min recovery = 26 min total

Tuesday 28th of October Session Details:

4 x 3 min efforts, 90s recovery between

4 x 1 min efforts, 1 min recovery between


Volume: 16 min run + 9 min recovery = 25 min total


Aim: Tuning into race effort/pace before Dover fun run (if not running Dover, sit somewhere in between those paces).

Thursday 30th of October session details:

1 x 5 min effort, 2 min recovery

3 x 1 min effort, 1 min recovery

3 x 45s efforts, 45s recovery

3 x 30s efforts, 30s recovery


Volume: 11:45 run + 8:15 recovery = 20 min total


Aim: Light session prior to Dover on Sunday, everyone should walk away from today's session feeling good!


Saturday - Social Saturday 5km run or walk @Reba Sear

Sunday - Long run Time and location TBC (Join our RMC runners Facebook group for more info!)

Tuesday/Thursday (6:00am, 9:00am, 5:30pm): Huonville Recreational Oval.

Strength Class Focus Strength


Strength week is a perfect time to learn good lifting techniques and develop strategies on how to lift safely and effectively. Lean on our instructors to understand ways to improve your awareness, feel comfortable with lifting heavier to build strength and understand your baseline strength level. If you want test yourself but unsure what to lift, ask our trainers. They are in a perfect position to support you and guide you on your weight selection.



Week starting: 27.10.2025

Strength Class Focus: Freestyle


We love to follow on from strength week with a freestyle week. Enjoy no particular focus area but fun exercises with a different layout. Our bodies love change and to adapt to the changing stimulus. Listen to your body and move with intention.

Social Saturday

 Thinking about attending Social Saturday?

Our Social Saturday morning are for walkers, runners, furry friends and whoever wants to kick start their weekend with movement, coffee and great company.

We begin our loop from Reba Sear at 8am every Saturday. Choose a 5km loop or simply have a nice trot around Huonville. Return back to Reba Sear for a hot drink, something to eat or head off to start your weekend.

RMC Runners Facebook Group

An RMC Runners Facebook group has been made to help connect runners of RMC through social runs outside of organised RMC sessions, post any details in regards to upcoming events, Sunday long run loops, etc. If you or someone you might know wants to join this

group, just search "RMC Runners" on Facebook and request to join the group.
