Hello to all of our RMC members.

The cooler weather is at our doorstep but how invigorating and empowering is it to get our bodies moving, prioritise ourselves and motivate those around us.

Mini Easter Break at RMC

Little throwback from last Easter

We have decided to take the Easter break to enjoy some special family time and our incredible team deserves a little R&R to eat chocolate and have cosy sleep ins. There will be no structured classes on Good Friday (29th of April) and Easter Monday (1st of April).

We will have home exercises for those who would like to move throughout this little break, see link here or follow our socials.

We will return with a Family Session, held on the Little Athletics track at 4:00pm on Tuesday the 2nd of April. This will include Pilates, Low-impact cardio and Running. Book for one session but you don't need to attend the whole block.

Bring a mat, sweat towel and drink bottle. Our little loves are very welcome to join in the fun!!

Welcome Pearl to the RMC Community

You would have all seen Pearl's beautiful smile around the strength room as she has been learning the RMC ropes. When you see Pearl, give her a warm RMC welcome.

Let's hear from Pearl!

Hey everyone!

I have recently relocated to the beautiful Huon Valley after moving to Tassie in 2022. Prior to that I spent most of my life in Adelaide, South Australia.

I have always had a strong passion for dance, gymnastics and fitness. So in 2022 I completed my certificate III in group instructing and certificate IV in personal training.

Not long after I began working in Hobart, instructing large and small group classes as well as one on one sessions.

This included strength training, powerlifting, mat pilates and yoga. Even a little bit of nutrition coaching too!

Before making my way into the fitness industry I worked as an Au Pair/nanny, looking after families and kids of all different ages. I would consider myself to have a very gentle and nurturing personality, which I love to channel into my work, no matter what it is.

I truly believe in the importance of moving your body, treating yourself with grace and kindness whilst knowing how incredible our bodies are, not just in movement but in all stages and aspects of life.

I also like to share the importance of knowing your body, listening to your body and being proud and appreciative of all it does for us.

I found my values heavily allied with the principles and community at RMC and I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to meet everyone and be apart of such a beautiful team.

When I'm not in the gym you can find me either on walks, free diving or swimming in any water source I can find!

I also love to craft, whether it's pottery, painting, drawing or tinkering with cars or old furniture.

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing everyone's smiling faces :)

New MORNING Low-Impact Cardio Blocks

We are very excited to have 6am and 6:30am cardio sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, STARTING THIS WEEK with Tia

Remember that low-impact cardio is for EVERYONE.

We have progressions and regressions for all to provide that cardiovascular workout. We know that cardio is challenging to fit within your week however this 30 minutes of power is a perfect way to kickstart your day!

Come and give it a try!!

RMC Health Screening with Annie

Run Move Connect is now offering health screening as part of the Personal Training Service.

Health checks are a fantastic opportunity to assess your current physical health status, measure your strength and functional capacity and provide you with up to date information around exercise and how your lifestyle habits can positively impact your health.

Our incredible team will give a brief understanding of your results, what they may indicate and how we can best support you.

All information can be provided to your health practitioner and a proceeding consultation can be booked to develop goals, enhance your health knowledge and develop a structured exercise routine.

Run Move Connect pride ourselves on supporting our members with their health and assisting with developing strong understanding on the exercise and movement.

Email: personaltraining@runmoveconnect.com.au or send us a message to find out more, or book your session!

RUN MOVE CONNECT PILATES CLASS STYLES (all classes are 50 mins)

Pilates PULSE

Low to moderate intensity intervals based on time goals. Pilates exercises include the use of body weight and small equipment (bands, ball and weights). Available to all abilities and bodies. Class focus is to build endurance, strength and cardiovascular fitness. Great for those wanting a sweaty cardio session.

Pilates FORM

Slower paced functional class. Exercise layers are reduced to focus on precision, form and breath. A great foundational class to receive increased support and hands on correction. Excises always commence at most regressed level with the intention to realign posture and support every day activity.

A great class for clients new to Pilates, those with existing health challenges or returning to exercise, pregnancy as well as those wanting to strengthen foundational movements.

Pilates FLOW

This class includes a mix of modern and traditional pilates exercises with progressions offered to those seeking further challenge.

Session includes release/stretch work throughout as well as periods of increased effort to create a balanced total body session.

RMC Studio Details- Strength/Cardio/Recovery

Strength Focus- Eccentric loading

We loved the set up this week so we are keeping it!!

You will see 6 pods, 2 exercise per pod, total of four sets per exercise

  • The focus is on very slow and control movement patterns, particularly on the stretching out of the muscle

  • Eccentric exercises allow the muscle to tear to then build stronger and bigger muscles- Fantastic way to get stronger faster

  • As it is a slow movement, ensure they maintain great trunk control and technique throughout

GENERAL CLASS REMINDERS

  • Please take SWEAT TOWELS and drink bottles with you throughout the session.

  • Please advise the instructor if you have any new or old injuries that they should be aware of or will impact your training. We will support you with your exercise and provide alternative exercises.

  • Please be prompt to classes as we aim to start demonstration on time.

Class Cancelations/minimum class bookings

For all RMC Studio classes with 0-2 members booked into a class, RMC will notify participants 3 hours prior to the session starting if they can make another session. RMC will then decide if the class will be cancelled and removed from the booking system.

To assist with this, we ask that if you plan to do a session, please aim to book in as soon as you possibly can. We understand that sometimes it can be hard to book in too far in advance due to family, work etc.

If you can't make a session please make sure that you cancel your booking as soon as you are aware you can not attend. This is essential for all sessions. We are aware sometimes this is not possible especially for parents with young families and appreciate everyone's understanding.

Feedback Form

We get amazing feedback from our members and it continues to assist us meeting the needs of our members and providing the best service. We thought it is time to make this an 'official' form and we welcome your feedback.

Please click on the link here and fill it out, as you desire.
