We are having an 80’s theme Strength,
Pilates and Cardio class on the 17th of May to celebrate our 2nd Birthday!
Dress up in your outrageous 80’s attire -
Including leotards, leg warmers, high side pony tails, fluro sweat band and drop shoulder tops!
Our exercises will be eccentric (pun intended) and music vibes electric. Don’t miss the fun!
RMCs 2nd Birthday Celebration
We are thrilled to announce that RMC will be having it's 2nd birthday party on Saturday the 18th of May. The event will be held at Reba Sear, kicking off from 5:30pm. Come along and celebrate another major milestone for this fantastic community with your favourite people.
Superstar chef and RMC member Lachie Fletcher from "Waiora Farm Food" will be catering for the event with a number of different food options on offer throughout the night. Drinks will be available to purchase over the bar. The stage is set for a night filled with live music, beautiful food, great people and good times!
Tickets cost $40 per person which covers food for the night. We encourage all RMC members, family, partners and friends to join us for a night to remember!

Social Saturday
Congratulations to everyone who turned up for our monthly Social Saturday Time trial. Some great results and big PB’s were on display, was great to see!
Next Saturday we are hosting a very special Social Saturday Mother’s Day fundraiser. Details from Reba Sear are below 👇
“As with previous years in the lead up to Mothers Day, we will have pay it forward coffees available for anyone who is without their Mum this week.
It’s a time that can be really tough for a lot of people in our community and this small gesture of a gifted coffee is one way to make it a little less painful.
With the atrocious rates of gender based violence in our country we will be donating the value of all unclaimed coffees to Huon Domestic Violence Services. HDVS supports on average 80 people a month with domestic violence related issues in the Huon Valley alone.
On Saturday 11th of May at our Social Saturday Run Group we will be donating profits from coffees to directly support families affected. Donation buckets will also be available for those with some spare changes”

Launceston Running Festival Details
The Launceston Running Festival is not far away! Launceston offers one of Australia's flattest, fastest and more often than not, perfect weather conditions for a great running event. RMC have a number of runners already booked in for what will be a great weekend for the team. Join us in the kids 1.6km, 5km, 10km or the Half Marathon.

15 min run + 10 min recovery = 25 min total
Thursday (Tempo off short recover)
2 sets of the following -
4 min effort / 60s recovery

BODY WEIGHT WEEK
Zero props; just you and the mat throughout all sessions in Pilates this week! Although we are keeping things simple, you’ll be surprised by how you can continue to challenge your strength, endurance, cardiovascular health and balance with your bodyweight alone. Movement doesn’t have to be fancy. Simple movements with focus on form and breath can have a powerful and effective impact on your overall physical and mental health. RUN MOVE CONNECT PILATES CLASS STYLES (all classes are 50 mins)
Pilates PULSE
Low to moderate intensity intervals based on time goals. Pilates exercises include the use of body weight and small equipment (bands, ball and weights). Available to all abilities and bodies. Class focus is to build endurance, strength and cardiovascular fitness. Great for those wanting a sweaty cardio session.
Pilates FORM
Slower paced functional class. Exercise layers are reduced to focus on precision, form and breath. A great foundational class to receive increased support and hands on correction. Excises always commence at most regressed level with the intention to realign posture and support every day activity.
A great class for clients new to Pilates, those with existing health challenges or returning to exercise, pregnancy as well as those wanting to strengthen foundational movements.
Pilates FLOW
This class includes a mix of modern and traditional Pilates exercises with progressions offered to those seeking further challenge.
Session includes release/stretch work throughout as well as periods of increased effort to create a balanced total body session.
RMC Studio Details- Strength
Strength Focus- STABILITY/MUSCULAR ENDURANCE
Improving balance, pelvic stability and body awareness.
Ensure ankle knee and hip alignment, pelvic control (no hip hinging) and gopod shoulder setting
Light to moderate resistance to ensure good technique and control
Focus on muscular endurance as oppose to strength
Increase in sets to promote endurnace of the muscle
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you are having any difficulty with technique execution, choosing of weights, muscle activation, change in health status or discomfort throughout the session. We are here to support you on achieving your goals, develop safe lifting techniques and have positive experience in the gym.
GENERAL CLASS REMINDERS
Please take SWEAT TOWELS and drink bottles with you throughout the session.
Please advise the instructor if you have any new or old injuries that they should be aware of or will impact your training. We will support you with your exercise and provide alternative exercises.
Please be prompt to classes as we aim to start demonstration on time.
