Good Afternoon RMC'ers,


We hope you have all had a great weekend and ready for another big week of training with RMC. This week we have a fun ANZAC DAY public holiday session planned filled with active games and a small taste of run/walk session. A great opportunity to get moving with the family, have some fun and to give a Run/Walk session a go for the first time!


We would also like to invite all RMC members, family and friends to the Huon Valley ANZAC Day sports carnival. A range of athletic events will be on offer from 12pm-4pm, kids compete with those in there age group along with an open age category (Anthony Barnett has been in the gym all summer ready for this day). The event finishes with the prestigious ANZAC day mile along with fun novelty events. We hope to see you there! For more info please find the Facebook event page HERE.

School Holidays at PCYC


Just a little reminder that if our kids want to use the Fun Factory during RMC class times that they need to pay $4 at reception, prior to the class starting.


We share the space with the Royal Flying Doctors (RFD) upstairs and we just need to be mindful of noise and movement with RFD consultations taking place during our high traffic times and patients moving throughout the area completing their programs. We are very happy for our little ones to hang out in the Pilates Studio or the Kids area in the Strength room but please avoid the foyer upstairs.



 

Access to PCYC After Hours- NEW CODE


The PCYC access code for the month of February is - 899421 # This code will only open the front door and is only to be used for any classes that start outside of our opening hours. (9am to 7:30pm, 5:30pm closure on a Friday).

Social Saturday

Well done to all participants who participated in the “Knights Road Challenge” to start the weekend! A bit of fun and competitive edge was brought into play to see who could get to the top of the road first. Congrats to Darcy Callaghan who won the challenge and enjoyed his free Hot Chocolate on return.

Thinking about attending Social Saturday?

Our Social Saturday morning are for walkers, runners, furry friends and whoever wants to kick start their weekend with movement, coffee and great company.


We begin our loop from Reba Sear at 8am every Saturday. Choose a 5km loop or simply have a nice trot around Huonville. Return back to Reba Sear for a hot drink, something to eat or head off to start your weekend.

Launceston Running Festival Details

The Launceston Running Festival is not far away! Launceston offers one of Australia's flattest, fastest and more often than not, perfect weather conditions for a great running event. RMC have a number of runners already booked in for what will be a great weekend for the team. Join us in the kids 1.6km, 5km, 10km or the Half Marathon.

Pilates Session Details


RUN MOVE CONNECT PILATES CLASS STYLES (all classes are 50 mins)


Pilates PULSE

Low to moderate intensity intervals based on time goals. Pilates exercises include the use of body weight and small equipment (bands, ball and weights). Available to all abilities and bodies. Class focus is to build endurance, strength and cardiovascular fitness. Great for those wanting a sweaty cardio session.


Pilates FORM

Slower paced functional class. Exercise layers are reduced to focus on precision, form and breath. A great foundational class to receive increased support and hands on correction. Excises always commence at most regressed level with the intention to realign posture and support every day activity.

A great class for clients new to Pilates, those with existing health challenges or returning to exercise, pregnancy as well as those wanting to strengthen foundational movements.


Pilates FLOW

This class includes a mix of modern and traditional Pilates exercises with progressions offered to those seeking further challenge.

Session includes release/stretch work throughout as well as periods of increased effort to create a balanced total body session.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you are having any difficulty with technique execution, choosing of weights, muscle activation, change in health status or discomfort throughout the session. We are here to support you on achieving your goals, develop safe lifting techniques and have positive experience in the gym.



GENERAL CLASS REMINDERS

  • Please take SWEAT TOWELS and drink bottles with you throughout the session.

  • Please advise the instructor if you have any new or old injuries that they should be aware of or will impact your training. We will support you with your exercise and provide alternative exercises.

  • Please be prompt to classes as we aim to start demonstration on time.
