Hello to all of our RMC Members,

It's only 2 weeks until the Dover funrun! We had an awesome turnout from our RMC community last year and would love to emulate that sort of showing again this year! With 40 members already registered, it would be great to see some more flow in the next couple of weeks.


Public Holiday at RMC

9am Pilates

Paige along with Hannah will be running a Pilates session on the PCYC basketball court. Bring your mats, drink bottles and high energy; this is sure to be spicy!!

4:30pm- Running

A fun filled running session for family and friends will be happening at Huonville athletic oval on Thursday the 26th of October. Come join us for some fun games ran by Brad, finished off with a small run/walk session available for everyone.


PCYC Mixed Social Netball

Run Move Connect has added 3 teams in to the local social mixed netball roster held at PCYC on Thursday night. Come and support your local RMCers take on some dominant netballers in the Valley.

We have Pettit's Runners, Matthews Movers and JB Connectors all fighting it out for the prestigious trophy.

Group Trainer and Pilates Instructor at RMC


We are looking for a group training instructor and a pilates instructor who is invested in the health and wellbeing of the Huon Valley community to join our uplifting, motivating and inclusive team.

Run Move Connect provides a great place to learn, grow and develop in your professional field with regular education opportunities and a supportive team environment. This position is casual and therefore we can discuss what suits you and your current lifestyle.

Run Move Connect is passionate about creating an inclusive environment not only for our members but for our incredible staff.

RMC Christmas party

SAVE THE DATE for the RMC family Christmas party which will be held on Sunday the 10th of December from 12pm. RMC have booked the Glen Huon Hall for a fun family day in the park. A couple of food vans will be around with plenty of fun games and activities available!

Social Saturday

Thank you to Gemma, from Dover Fun Run, for coming to chat to our Social Saturday group. There are very limited spots in the Tassal Ten and Annabelle’s Run, so get in quick. The kids 2km has plenty of spots available, if you would like to run with your little tacker. Even better, the kids race concludes the event and a fantastic way to get the whole family involved.

Alex (labelled AS on the tag) is missing her medium size RMC hoodie that was left in the red milk crate. Please check your hoodies, as you may have picked up the wrong one. Hannah has a small with her that was left behind, so reach out to her.


PCYC Huon Valley and RMC Join Forces

PCYC and RMC are joining forces together with support of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation to provide youth, between 14-20 years of age, a free 20 week all-access membership. This is a fantastic opportunity for youth that are finishing winter sport and looking for an activity to participate in through the summer period, an inactive adolescent who is wanting to engage within their community in a healthy and positive manner or simply a teenager who wants to exercise along side their parent or friend.

Personal Training at RMC

We are very excited to announce that Annie has completed her Personal Training course and ready to take on clients, from next week.

Personal training sessions are a fantastic opportunity for those who have specific fitness and health goals, are more comfortable in a one on one setting or would like benchmark physical testing with goal development.

Your personal training session will involve the following:

  • Fitness and physical assessment

  • Development of health and fitness goals

  • Designing a tailored exercise program based on fitness assessment and personal goals

  • Providing an induction in to the gym setting, if required

  • Demonstrating and guiding appropriate lifting techniques in the gym setting

  • Providing supportive and motivating environment to encourage positive lifestyle modifications.

Our personal trainers work alongside Exercise Physiologist, Hannah Squires, to provide a collaborative approach to exercise, health and overall wellbeing.



RMC Member: $85 per hour

Non RMC member: $95 per hour


RMC Member: $50 per 30 minute session

Non RMC member: $60 per 30 minute session

Running Event News

DOVER FUNRUN - Boasting one of the most scenic fun run routes, the Dover Fun Run takes runners along the foreshore of Port Esperance, with stunning views of the bay and the iconic Adamsons Peak. The Dover Fun Run (Tassal Ten and Annabelle’s Run) was born out of a long-standing desire to give back to the community, in thanks for the wonderful support for the Skinner family in their time of need. This running event is a fundraiser! All profits will go the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Royal Hobart Hospital. You can also donate to PICU during the registration or on the day. POINT TO PINNACLE - Run Move Connect have entered a team for this years Point to Pinnacle event. This is one of Tasmania's most iconic road running events, starting at Wrest point Casino, participants head up Mount Kunanyi for a challenge of a life time. There are 2 events, the 10km finishes at the Fern Tree Tavern, the half marathon finishes at the top of the mountain! This year, Run Move Connect are lucky enough to receive a 20% discount on all entry fee's for the event! Bruny Island ultra marathon relay - That's right, it's that time of year for one of Tasmania's most enjoyable distance running events. It's not very often you get to participate in a distance running event like this in a relay style.

Get a team together from 2-8 people (ideally, no more than 6) and travel from the top of Bruny Island (Dennes Point) all the way down to the bottom to the lighthouse. 1 team member runs at a time whilst your team vehicle meets you at your next check point. Check points are at every 2km. You can ran as far or as little as you like.

We know there are lots of people interested in this event this year. If you are keen to organise your own team please go ahead. If you are wanting to participate and don't have enough people to make a team, please message Brad directly to show your interest. We will do our best to find a spot for everyone.

Tuesday 24th of October (Tempo + Short reps)

4 x 4 min efforts / 2 min recovery between

4 x 20s effort / 40s recovery

17:20 min run + 10 min recovery = 24 min total

Thursday 26th of October ( 2 sets of Progressive intervals)

**Public Holiday, mini session with fun warm up games at the start.**

2 sets of the following

2 min effort / 90s recovery

90s effort / 60s recovery

60s effort / 30s recovery

30s effort / 2 min recovery

10 min run + 8 min recovery = 18 min total

** Extra running available for those that want it**

RMC Studio Details- Strength/Cardio/Recovery/ Mat Pilates



  • Heavy load with very basic movement patterns

  • If technique is good then challenge your weight, if you feel comfortable.

  • This is a fantastic bench mark for yourself and to see how far you have come.

  • Always remember, if you need a light week, listen to your body and mind.


  • Please take SWEAT TOWELS and drink bottles with you throughout the session.

  • Please advise the instructor if you have any new or old injuries that they should be aware of or will impact your training. We will support you with your exercise and provide alternative exercises.

  • Please be prompt to classes as we aim to start demonstration on time.
