Good afternoon RMCers,

Goodbye Autumn and hello winter (you beautiful thing). The weather is cooling down but our classes are just heating up. We hope you all enjoyed the introduction to our new class addition of "Enduro" to our timetable. It will certainly keep you warm and have a lot of fun at the same time!

We'd love to congratulate all of our RMC runners who headed up north for The Launceston Running Festival over the weekend. One of the flattest and fastest running events held in the country and it certainly did not disappoint! Sometimes in running, when the stars align with a flat course, perfect conditions, months and years of preparation and nailing the race execution, something pretty special can happen! Awesome to see and well deserved results for all.

Here's what's happening this fortnight to keep you moving, connected, and inspired through the winter chill!

Strength Session Details for upcoming fortnight.

Week starting: 2nd of June

Strength Class Focus: Eccentric Loading

We haven’t done eccentric loading for a little a while and we are looking forward to slowing things down.

You’ll notice that we have deepened the exercises by increasing movement ranges through elevated heels or using more props. We have specifically selected exercises that enhance a stretch in the muscle.

Here is a little blurb from last time:

Eccentric loading build strength more effectively, improved joint stability and injury prevention, enhances flexbility and range of motion, boosts muscle recover, develop functional strength in everyday movements, improves tendon health and slows down the ageing process (GIVE US MORE OF THIS).

Week starting: 9th of June

Strength Class Focus: Functional Loading

Can you guess to the movement pattern?

We have been hard at work trying to mimic movement patterns to support your every day function. We know through improving lifting techniques will reduce your risk of injury and enhance you ability to perform activities you love or movement that are just part of every

life.

We feel so lucky that we can support you do the things you enjoy and assist you achieving your goals. We love that you feel empowered and confident to tackle something new when you feel strong and powerful!

Sit back and reflect on how far you have come. Have you achieved something recently that you’re proud of?

Pilates Session Details for upcoming fortnight.

Fortnight theme:

This fortnight’s Pilates classes at Run Move Connect are all about mobility and flexibility—two key pillars of a healthy, pain-free body. Whether you’re reaching for something overhead, tying your shoes, or simply moving through your day, improved mobility and flexibility can make every movement smoother and more effortless.

Through mindful movement and controlled stretching, our classes this week are designed to lengthen tight muscles, lubricate stiff joints, and restore natural range of motion. You’ll experience exercises that gently open the hips, shoulders, and spine while building strength and stability where your body needs it most.

Improving mobility and flexibility doesn’t just feel good—it helps prevent injury, enhances posture, reduces tension, and supports better performance in everything from everyday activities to more intensive workouts.

Come join us on the mat as we move with intention, breathe deeply, and unlock more freedom in your body. Your future self will thank you!
