18/03/24 Weekly Newsletter For Run Move Connect Members!

Hello to all of our RMC members.

We have THE LIGHT! Big shoutout and thank you to the Huonville Football Club for giving RMC access to use the new lights for our early morning run sessions. This made a huge impact for our Thursday morning session and will allow us to train safely and increase our motivation for those early morning sessions. It's time to throw away the head torches and come out for a 6am Run/Walk Session!

New Low-Impact Cardio Sessions

New low-impact cardio blocks are starting next week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Time: 6am and 6:30am

Duration: 30minutes

Welcome Tia Duggan to our RMC Team

We are so lucky to have such a positive person on our team! You will see Tia taking afternoon strength blocks and running our cardio sessions with her upbeat and vibrant personality.

Let's hear from Tia and June.

" I am a Huon Valley local.

Having spent the last 4 years working as a Veterinary Nurse I have just moved onto pursuing a career in the fitness industry.

I have recently completed my Certificate III in group gym instructing and I am progressing onto my Certificate IV in Personal Training.

I have always had a love for the health and fitness industry. I believe it is so important to have good health and wellbeing as it contributes to our happiness and quality of life. I am a strong believer in that anyone can do fitness no matter your age, gender or fitness level and I have always wanted to be that person that can help motivate and support people into starting their health and fitness journey. Movement is so good for our mind and for our bodies and everyone deserves the opportunity to feel it - I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work at Run Move Connect that promotes  exactly this principle.

My favourite types of fitness training are strength, HIIT and Pilates. I have also previously been a part of competitive netball and football over the years, and loved every part of it!

In my spare time you’ll find me tackling some of Tasmania’s beautiful and remote bush hiking trails. I also love to go adventuring with my partner Sam and our little Beagle, June. I love to cook, horse ride, garden and spend time with my wonderful family and friends.”

Qualifications and Certificates:

  • First Aid and CPR certificate

  • Certificate III in Fitness

  • Certificate IV in Personal Training (in progress)

  • Nutrition Coach

  • Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing

  • Certificate II Animal Studies

Pilates Session Details

Autumn has arrived and the chilly mornings and evenings can sometimes make the act of getting to the studio and moving your body challenging. When motivation is low remind yourself of how good you feel afterwards, remember your ‘why’, mix up your classes, make it fun and commit to positive habits for yourself. Exercise is a powerful tool (arguably the best!) in supporting our physical wellbeing and our emotional and mental health and is something you don’t want to miss. Let’s have a great week; grab a buddy and join me on the mat.

Low to moderate intensity intervals based on time goals. Pilates exercises include the use of body weight and small equipment (bands, ball and weights). Available to all abilities and bodies. Class focus is to build endurance, strength and cardiovascular fitness. Great for those wanting a sweaty cardio session.

Pilates FORM

Slower paced functional class. Exercise layers are reduced to focus on precision, form and breath. A great foundational class to receive increased support and hands on correction. Excises always commence at most regressed level with the intention to realign posture and support every day activity.

A great class for clients new to Pilates, those with existing health challenges or returning to exercise, pregnancy as well as those wanting to strengthen foundational movements.

Pilates FLOW

This class includes a mix of modern and traditional pilates exercises with progressions offered to those seeking further challenge.

Class Cancelations/minimum class bookings

For all RMC Studio classes with 0-2 members booked into a class, RMC will notify participants 3 hours prior to the session starting if they can make another session. RMC will then decide if the class will be cancelled and removed from the booking system.

To assist with this, we ask that if you plan to do a session, please aim to book in as soon as you possibly can. We understand that sometimes it can be hard to book in too far in advance due to family, work etc.

If you can't make a session please make sure that you cancel your booking as soon as you are aware you can not attend. This is essential for all sessions. We are aware sometimes this is not possible especially for parents with young families and appreciate everyone's understanding.

Feedback Form

We get amazing feedback from our members and it continues to assist us meeting the needs of our members and providing the best service. We thought it is time to make this an 'official' form and we welcome your feedback.

Please click on the link here and fill it out, as you desire.
